This beautiful necklace is in very good condition.
The necklace has 12 convex links which peak in the middle and are joined to the back with a hidden ring and eyelet to the back of each segment. The clasp is also hidden and is a simple hook type.
The back is stamped Denmark Sterling Bent K for Bent Knudsen. Bent Knudsen trained at the Carl M Cohr Silver Workshop with an accent on fine detail and craftsmanship.
This stood him in good stead and he was later employed by Hans Hansen in 1946 where he continued for 10 years before he set up on his own. Hi work is defined by skill and features elegant and simple lines, often with geometric forms.
The links to this necklace are solid not hollow and the piece itself has no faults or repairs. There are a few very light scuffs from being in use.
It is a lovely piece and timeless in its design. We would date this to the 1960's.
The necklace is 430mm long and each segment is 11mm x 39mm.
