This elegant cutlery or flatware set is in very good condition.
The Mid Century Design is called Kvintus which translates to Quintus originally meaning 5th. The setting was produced by ABSA and dates to the 1950's. These pieces are marked ABSA and have the Danish quality torch mark for silver plate used post 1932.
The setting is for 6 people. There are 6 rare hollow handled dinner knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree or dessert forks, 6 Continental soup spoons, 6 dessert spoons, 6 teaspoons, a gravy or sauce ladle, a large serving spoon, a large meat fork, smaller serving spoon and 4 small fruit knives.
There are 44 pieces. to but knives in Denmark they cost around 175dk or in today's rate around $44 each if you can find them.
The set is bright and shiny. There are some very fine scratches from use and or storage but most look as if they have had very little use. The most noticeable scratches are to the back of the fork tines and as can be seen these are minor.
