This beautiful Danish cutlery set is in very good condition and features an elegant reeded design to the flared handles terminating in an elegant balled design.
It was designed for S. Chr Fogh (active 1947-1973) and has their mark to the back of each piece. This set would date to around 1950.
The set is for 8 people and consists of 8 dinner knives, 8 very rare entree knives, 8 dinner forks, 8 entree forks, 8 continental soup spoons or table spoons, 8 dessert spoons, 8 teaspoons, a gravy or sauce ladle, and a small meat fork. There is an extra table spoons for serving. There are 59 pieces.
The knives to these sets are expensive and difficult to obtain but we have been lucky enough to purchase them from Denmark. The entree knives are a rarity.
There is no bubbling or corrosion to the plating. Two of the dinner forks have some plating loss to the side edges as shown. There are a few fine scratches and scuff marks from use but as mentioned the plating is reflective and shiny.
This is a high quality, elegant and beautiful setting in lovely condition.
