This beautiful lamp is in excellent condition with no damage. The lamp base was designed for Soholm pottery by Artist Noomi Backhausen on the isle of Bornholm, Denmark.
The lamp base is well marked for Soholm to the underside of the base and is a factory first. Although not signed Noomi it is from her Cactus Range.
The base has a richly textured finish with glaze in blue, black, white, brown and green with a different design motif to each side. The hand made nature of this piece is very evident and appealing and the marks made by throwing on pottery wheel are a feature.
The shade is a brand new pleated shade in PVC which we have imported from Denmark and is attached to the lamp by spring clips that fit over the globe.
The lamp has been fully rewired with a switch in the cord, plug and new 40mm fitting for an Edison Screw E27 bulb. It has been safety tested and tagged to Australian Standards.
The pottery base measures 130mm across the widest part is 200mm to the base of the globe fitting. The total height including shade is 380mm.
This lovely piece would be ideal for a side table or sideboard or as a bedside lamp.
