This elegant pendant is stamped Gifa and 925. Gifa is a Danish silversmith workshop which began in 1959 and stands for Goldsmith Indkobsforening located in Glostrup.
The pendant is a rich turquoise with silver and black matrix. It has been set with silver and is presented on the sterling silver chain shown.
There is no damage to the pendant but there are some rougher patches of matrix. Stones like these would normally have been stabilized with something like wax to take such a polish.
The stone is 55mm long excluding the bale and around 20mm wide. The bale adds another 10mm to the length.
The sterling silver 2mm wide chain is 600mm long.
