This lovely chest was made in Denmark from stained Oak and features three curved and shaped drawers above an open base with 4 turned barley twist legs. The drawers all have solid brass ornate handles.
The base has 4 stretchers to strengthen the carcass. The top has a hand carved curved edging and there is a carved panel down each side.
Inside the drawers the dovetail joints can be seen to the sides, these are to both the back and front of the drawers. The main timber in this piece is all solid oak. The back of the cupboard and drawer bases are plywood as is the inset panel to the sides but everything else is solid oak.
The drawers all slide in and out smoothly. The chest is clean and ready for use.
The chest is narrow and would easily fit in a hallway.
The chest is 650mm tall and 860mm long and 300mm deep.
