This pretty set is in the pattern called Capri and is marked to the backs KJA.
The pattern was designed by Kr J Andersen for Fredericia Silver and features a simple reeded handle with a band of dots down both edges. The pattern extends to both back and front of each piece and is certainly elegant.
We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.
The set comprises a setting for 6 with 6 hollow handled dinner knives, 6 dinner spoons, 6 dessert spoons, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks and 6 teaspoons. There are 36 pieces to the set.
In Addition there are also a 7 spares including 2 entree knives, a single dinner knife, 2 dinner forks and 2 entree forks.
All the pieces are in very good condition and show fine scratches from use. As can be seen the plating is reflective and bright. There are a few tiny dark spots to two of the knife blades.
