This lovely chest was made in Denmark from mid coloured French Oak and features three curved and shaped drawers above an open base with 4 turned legs. The top is scalloped and nicely edged. The drawers all have solid brass handles and escutcheons.
The original fancy brass key is present and works in all three locks.
Inside the drawers the dovetail joints can be seen to the sides. The timber in this piece is all solid oak, no veneer. The back and drawer bases are plywood but everything else is solid oak.
The drawers all slide in and out smoothly. The chest is very clean and ready for use. The top has no staining or other marks.
There is some darkening to one side of the chest to the base of the inset panel as shown in the last photo.
The chest is 700mm tall and 700mm long and 390mm deep.
