This amazing piece was made by Bjorn Wiinblad in his own studio and is a one off creation.
The piece is a horse and rider with the rider's hat doubling as the candle holder. The underside of the lovely piece is signed BW 64 for famous Danish sculptor and painter Bjorn Wiinblad. This is quite an early piece and dates to 1964.
It is typical in form and decoration of the many of his whimsical hand made pieces glazed in white an blue.
The hand crafted piece is in lovely condition and has no faults. These pieces are often chipped or grazed so it is a rarity for us to find one in pristine condition.
The piece stands 310mm tall and is 260mm at the widest.
