This lovely chest was made in Denmark from a hardwood timber with a dark stain and features two carved drawers and cabriole legs. The drawers all have solid brass knobs.
The legs h ave ornate carvings of Nordic heads with flowing hair and beards.
Inside the drawers the dovetail joints can be seen to the sides. The timber in this piece is all solid, no veneer. The back and drawer bases are plywood but everything else is solid.
The base has dainty cabriole legs and a decorative apron to the base of the drawers.
The drawers all slide in and out smoothly. The chest is clean and ready for use.
There are some slightly darker spots to the top as shown.
The chest is 670mm tall and 550mm long and 390mm deep.
