This figurine is in excellent condition with no damage.
Made by famous Danish porcelain factory Bing & Grondahl and marked with the three towers of Copenhagen to the underside of the base it dates to a manufacturing period of 1948-1951. It was designed by famous designer, artist and sculptors Ebbe Sadolin and Svend Jespersen. The piece is also marked 2266 which is the design number.
The figure depicts a little merbaby or water baby. The little fish tail is seen from the back. There are 5 in this series.
The piece is a factory second and this would be for the pin prick size black spot to the white ceramic as photographed.
The figurine stands 110mm tall.
