This beautiful setting came store wrapped in its original cellophane in it original cardboard box. It has obviously been in storage since it was new and has never been in use. The storage box was silver fish eaten and torn but the cutlery inside was basically pristine. Only a light tarnish was tot he fork tines and anywhere else where the cellophane had torn exposing the silver to the air. We have given it a light polish and as can be seen it is in beautiful condition.
The vintage cutlery set features one of Rodd's most popular designs called Camille which was produced in Australia during the 1950's and 1960's. It features an embossed floral patterning to the handles. Each piece is simply marked Rodd to the back indicating this is a set dating from the 1970's. The knives have modern blades and slim line ferrules at the base of the blades. The blades have a mirror finish as shown.
The pieces are silver plated with stainless steel knife blades. As mentioned these pieces have never been used. There is one fault with an entree fork having 2 small bubbled spots to the silver to the back as shown. We have included a replacement fork as well which is in very good condition but does not have the same un used look the rest of the set has.
The vintage set comprises 6 hollow handled dinner knives. 6 hollow handled entree knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks, 6 dessert spoons, 6 soup spoons, 6 teaspoons and 2 table spoons. There are 44 pieces.
