This vintage pendant was made from polished New Zealand Jade, Pounamu or Greenstone and set in sterling silver.
The pendant is tapered, nicely rounded to both the back, front and base and has a number of dark inclusions. It is highly polished and very glossy. The silver mount is simply marked 925 for sterling silver to the very top of the bale.
The greenstone is 53mm long and measures 11mm across the widest part at the base. The overall length of the pendant including the bale is 62mm.
There is no damage to this piece and no repairs.
The chain is 430mm long and is secured with a bolt ring clasp. The chain is stamped 835 for high grade silver.
