This elegant setting was designed by Henning Seidelin for Frigast Denmark. Henning Seidelin was a prominent famous Danish designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy from 1917-1936. He began his career as a sculptor but soon turned to industrial design. His work encompassed many mediums and products range from silverware, cutlery, home-wares, lighting, furniture and ceramics. As with many Danish designers their skill ranges over many fields in their life time. Among others Henning designed for Georg Jensen, Hans Hansen, Frigast/Gense, Le Klint and Royal Copenhagen. This design was also produced by Gense after the company took over Frigast. This is a genuine vintage Frigast setting.

The setting is called Fleur and was first designed in the early 1950's. It has a sleek glossy pattern with a floral design to the neck and elegant curves to the handles.

The set is silver plated and comprises a setting for 10 people with spares. There are 13 dinner knives, 13 entree knives, 11 dinner forks, 13 entree forks, 11 soup spoons, 11 dessert spoons, a ladle, 2 different large serving spoons, 7 small meat forks and two cake forks.  In total there are 85 pieces.

There are only fine scratches from use and the set presents beautifully.  The knife blades are glossy and reflective. There is no silver plate loss, corrosion or bubbling. The two large spoons show the most scratches and we have shown these in close up.

Please note the setting is heavy weighing over 4 kilos. Shipping is calculated for a 4-5 kilo box.

We have many other sets of Danish cutlery in store.
