This set of 8 is in the pattern Annette initially produced by famous glassworks Val St Lambert in Belgium. With the onset of the WW1 the glass factory stopped production and in 1915 the Danish Holmegaard Glassworks was approached to continue production of a few lines under license. The design of Annette was one of these. Production continued at Holmegaard until the mid 1930's.
The glasses feature a cut stem and plain foot. The bowl is prettily cut with a fan and star design.
There is no damage to the glasses and they are clear and sparkling.
The glasses stand 160mm tall and measure around 75mm across the rim. Although designed as a red wine glass the glasses are smaller than those we would use today and holds a little under 150mls when filled.
