This elegant Retro cutlery or flatware set is in very good condition.
The Mid Century Design is called Columbine and features an asymmetrical curved handle. The setting was produced by ABSA and dates to the 1950's. The pattern has been reproduced by Fredericia Silver. These pieces are marked ABSA and have the Danish quality torch mark for silver plate used post 1932.
The setting is for 12 people. There are 12 dinner knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 entree or dessert forks, 12 Continental soup spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 12 teaspoons, 2 x gravy or sauce ladles, 2 x large serving spoons, 2 x large meat forks, a crown seal bottle opener and a cake server. There are 79 pieces. The dinner knives are rarity and cost around AU$40 each to buy in Denmark. We have ordered these especially to complete the setting.
The set is bright and shiny and shows no wear. There are some very fine scratches from use to some pieces and most look unused. There are some more noticeable scratches to the cake server but as can be seen everything else is in extremely good condition. Apart from the knives all the pieces come in their original boxes.
The knives are on order from Denmark and will arrive early Jan 2026 if not before.
