This exceptional figurine was produced by Rosenthal Germany and was designed by Gustav Otto. The back stamp is one used from between 1935-1956 with the words Handgemalt (hand painted) woman.
This particular back stamp has two dashes and two dots under the word Selb. It is not one we can find to attribute to a particular year but definitely fits this above time period.
The figurine is also inscribed GO for the sculptor Gustav Otto (1891-1978) and the pattern number 1517.
The figure is exquisitely painted even down to her strands of hair. The beautiful dress is pale blue with gold decoration in gorgeous detail. We have seen two others elsewhere in the world but none as beautiful as this one.
There is no damage to this piece. No scratches, chips, cracks, rubs, marks or other damage.
She stands 250mm tall.
