The Peachtree Nova is a versatile integrated amplifier released around 2009 and retailed at that time for around AU$2,000. It has a superior quality in-built Digital-to-Analogue Converter, delivers a solid 80 watts into 6 ohms output, and has a tube section in its pre-amplifier that can be turned on or off, plus a soft filter or sharp filter switch. On the back is an array of features including a USB, two coaxial and two optical input options, a pre-out to supply input to an external power amplifier or sub-woofer if desired.
The Peachtree Nova received many review accolades and remains a very solid performer today. The quality of its DAC was consistently praised and often favourably compared to standalone DACs that themselves cost more than this Integrated Amplifier combination. "Worth the price of the DAC alone" was often the catch-cry.
Its stylish case creates a retro-look, and the glow of the preamp tube in the front fascia window adds to its allure. Cosmetically, this unit is very good with some light scuff marks consistent with use. A remote is provided which is fully functioning but has its battery cover missing.
