This elegant book case was made in Denmark and is stamped 1956 to the back showing when it was made. It is a known design by Johannes Sorth for Bornholm Mobelfabrik.
The piece has a teak veneer finish and features two sliding doors to the base with adjustable shelves and three adjustable shelves to the top.
This is a design classic and features in Danish design museums and is sought by enthusiasts all over the world.
As can be seen the piece is in in very good condition. The only issue we can find is some small veneer loss to the bottom of the right hand side edge as shown. This has been filled with wax.
The cupboard measures 1820mm tall, 1000mm wide and 430mm deep.
