This beautiful piece was designed for Holmegaard Glassworks by Sidse Werner in 1975 and belongs to the Trolglas or Troll Glass range. It is often referred to as Lava Glass.
Troll glass is amazing with many included bubbles, both small and large as if the glass was frothy when blown. There are swirls of pink colour throughout with the silvery bubble layer to the outside.
There is no damage to the piece. It is large enough to be used as a planter to sit a pot plant inside or to use as a flower bowl.
The piece is not signed but this is not unusual. Please see the Danish Glass Museum Harder net to confirm. Go to Art Glass and Troldglas.
The vase stands 130mm tall and measures around 200mm across the belly.
