This lovely ladle is well hallmarked for London and the year 1824. The faint makers mark is for well known silversmith William Bateman.
The ladle has good form and is the fiddle back design. The bowl is deep and round. There is a black spot to the bowl as shown and a small flat section or very shallow dent to the bowl which was impossible to photograph. This area is around 10mm across and seen when the light catches it.
The monogram is beautifully engraved with the letters AIS.
The ladle is around 180mm long and weighs 47.3gms.
