This beautiful and authentic Danish wall lamp is new and imported by us from Denmark. It was made in Germany and is made from Beech in a natural finish.
Originally the concertina lamp was designed by Eric Hansen for Danish lighting company Le Klint in 1952 and called the Sax. It has become an iconic piece and has remained in production ever since. So successful it has been copied by others and this is one of those copies which is well executed and made from beech and comes with a new Danish PVC pleated shade.
We have a plug attached to the end and it has been tagged and tested by an electrician. If sold internationally the plug will be removed. There is a switch to the fitting. The fitting is designed to be attached to a wall or cupboard by two screws. There are two countersunk holes drilled for this purpose cleverly hidden behind the swing arm. The power cord drops down to be plugged into a power point.
The wooden fitting works as an expanding concertina, sitting 360mm fully retracted or pulls out to a maximum of 510mm fully extended. The vertical backing section measures 240mm x 45mm.
