What's in Store (May/June 2020)
Welcome to Winter!
Here in the Adelaide Hills it seemed as though Winter made an early
appearance this year. Temperatures have dropped to the low teens and
here in Clarendon overnight temperatures are well and truly chilly!
This made for a spectacular Autumn, we have all agreed it was one of the most vivid displays of Autumn leaves we can remember!!
Restrictions are easing meaning that some of us have had a little taste
of the normal return... the kids are back at school and our team at
emprades is back together!
Having said that, many of the recreational activities that we have
enjoyed are still 'on hold'. This means we have been indulging in the
company of small family dinners, and savouring the small pleasures. A
cheeky pre-dinner glass of Port by the fire (our local Horndale Winery
does a wonderful range), a snuggle on the couch with the kids in a soft
blanket. We all enjoyed some homemade wood oven pizza for Pru's birthday
in late May; a somewhat low key affair but lovely all the same.
Despite the onset of winter the Jonquils are already up and the first
flowers are beginning to show. A reminder that Spring will be on its way
soon enough, and that there is always something to look forward to.
