Australian Lega Sterling Silver Marcasite Jewellery Patterns
Lega was an Australian Company that manufactured marcasite jewellery from the 1940's. In the early days although their pieces were always marked Lega they were not always marked for sterling nor did they have a pattern number. These early brooches often had a simple C type catch. The later brooches had roll over locking clasps and often a safety chain and pin.
In this collection of jewellery we will gather together as many photos as we can of different pieces to make an inventory of the patterns they produced. All these pieces are signed Lega, some are marked SIL for silver, some are marked Sterling and some have no pattern number. This will be an ongoing project! Please contact us if you have a piece that is not shown here as we would love to add it.
