This beautiful vase is in lovely condition. The piece features hand painted butterfly amongst spring blossoms.
The decoration is beautifully done and the colours soft and muted. The matching lid is in perfect condition.
The vase is marked to the back with the Royal Copenhagen back stamp with pattern number 1528 and shape 29.B.
The back stamp is an early 20th Century one used from 1924 - 1928. We now this because the back stamp shown was used from 1924-1934 but painters numbers were no longer in use post 1928. This has a painters number of 52.
The vase is a factory first. However we can see a small unglazed spot to the very base as shown. On close inspection it is a spot where the glaze has crawled as it can be seen that the glaze dips into the spot and is not a chip.
The vase stands 120mm tall and around 95mm across the widest part.
