Australian animals and birds were often depicted on sterling silver spoons as a souvenir and were often made in England. From what we can work out Australian silversmiths started to make their own designs from around 1920.
The spoon has a twist handle which splits to the finial with a 3 dimensional kangaroo to the top. The bowl is bright and shiny with a few very faint grey marks.
The spoon is 114mm long and weighs 5.7gms.
