This beautiful lamp has a base that was produced by Masons, England and features a flow blue design with an Asiatic Dragon Motif. We imagine the piece started life as a large ginger jar and was converted into a lamp.
The backstamp is that used from 1890-1923.
The top has a brass cover to which the lamp fitting has been attached.
The lamp has been newly rewired to Australian standards and been safety checked and tagged by our electrician. There is an in line switch to the white cord. The bulb fitting takes an E27 globe readily available at supermarkets.
The white shade is a new pleated PVC type which sits on a halo frame to support it.
The base measures 190mm in diameter and the height of the lamp is 210mm to the base of the fitting. In total including the shade it measures 450mm high.
