This elegant selection is in the pattern called Empire, produced by many silver workshops in Denmark.

The pieces are all marked with the Danish twin tower mark for pieces made c1890 to 1928.

We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.

The set comprises 6 large table spoons, 6 large dinner forks, 6 entree or dessert forks and 6 dessert spoons.   There are 24 pieces.

The makers marks vary to the pieces. Some of the piece have ornate engraved initials to the finials.

Because there are different makers there are slight variations to size and some times pattern detail. The most noticeable difference is one entree fork is smaller than the rest as shown.

Although used the pieces present really well with fine usage scratches. There is no wear and no loss of silver plate. The plating is bright and reflective.
