This antique brooch is stamped to the back 830S ELW for silver smith E L Weimann, Copenhagen active 1897-1937
The brooch has a butterscotch amber cabochon the centre. The style of the brooch is in the form of a lace pin designed to be worn at the ruffle of lace at the throat of high neck dresses of the period.
The back has a silver pin, antique tube hinge and a simple C type clasp. We would date it to around 1900.
There are a few fine indents in the silver to the edges of the brooch as shown.
The brooch is 65mm long.
