This interesting piece belonged to a family friend  and was awarded to her great grand father. He was a flour miller and this award was for coming 2nd in the exam at the City & Guilds of London Institute Department of Technology.

The plaque is inscribed to the outer rim Benjamin Walter Bennett 2nd Milling (Flour manufacturer) 1911.

Benjamin Walter Bennett went on to travel the world and share his expertise. He was employed to impart his knowledge on the best ways to mill flour.

The plaque comes in its original silk and velvet lined box. The box is in very good condition as can be seen. It is printed to the lid lining with John Pinches Medallist London.

The plaque is 51mm across x 5mm thick. The box is 75mm x 110mm.
