This lovely pair of Art Nouveau vases was made by Danish Silverware company Madsen & T Baagoes, Copenhagen Denmark.
The pair are also marked with the Danish twin tower mark for silver plate used 1890-1927. This pair would date c 1900. The vases are identical and feature a lovely scrolled design with double line detail.
The pair have a gorgeous patina of tarnish which we have left. Once polished this effect will take 10s of years to replicate so it is up to the next buyer to decide if they wish to polish the silver plate to a high reflective mirror finish.
The patina is has hints of blue and pink within it and is really quite something.
There is no silver plate loss to either vase. One vase has an indent to the foot as shown and another slight indent to both the rim and side. Both of these are shown. The second vase has no indents.
The vases are a matched pair and stand 250mm tall and around 110mm at the widest point.
