This beautiful piece would date to the early 1900's.
The piece was designed to be worn high up on the arm above the elbow and called an armlet. My great Aunt Margaret had a similar single band she wore on her wedding day in 1927. I have included the photo to show how it would have been worn.
It is clearly marked 9ct silver lined and is in a lovely soft rose gold.
There are many fine scratches to the piece and one area of rubbing as photographed. The joins of the head and tail from when the piece was made are evident showing as a pale yellow gold and again photographed.
These marks are insignificant and the piece is quite amazing. It is rare to find such a piece with a double wrap.
The bangle or armlet is 80mm across and measures 7mm wide. It measures 230mm around internally.
This would suit a larger person if they wish to wear it as a bangle.
