This elegant antique locket is beautifully decorated with flowers and leaves. There is a delicate lily bloom and ivy leaves amongst twirled tendrils all delicately hand engraved to the front surface. There is a double line border all the way around both back and front with the back is flat and polished smooth. The locket would date to the late 1800's.
There are no markings on the locket which is not unusual. We guarantee is sterling silver.
The locket opens to show two glass covered photo sections. Under the glass are old photos tht came with the locket which look to date to around the 1920's or 1930's.
There is a heavy bale to the top which pivots on a ring. The locket has a strong hinge to the side which works well and the locket closes securely.
The locket is 44mm long x 37mm across. It is 5mm deep. It measures 60mm in total length including the bale.
The locket comes with a sterling silver fancy chain measuring 600mm long which secures with a hook. The locket and chain weigh 26.1gms.
