This elegant antique Danish set is in very good condition. There are 6 long teaspoons, 2 small serving spoons, a cream ladle and a cake server.
The pieces are marked to the backs DFA and also have the twin tower mark used on silver plate in Denmark from 1890-1928. One serving spoon is without marks.
The design features interwoven tendrils to the end and a similar but smaller motif to the mid section.
There are many fine scratches and nicks from use to these pieces. There is no silver plate loss. The pieces have the warm patina of well used silver, something only time can give. There are multiple scratches to one serving spoon where the handle meets the bowl. The other serving spoon has a faintly gilded bowl and a small deep nick to the back of the bowl. The cake server has many fine longitudinal scratches along the serving section. The cream ladle has small flattened section to the rear.
Having said all this the set still presents very well.
The teaspoons are 140mm long, the cream ladle 133m long, the serving spoons with their egg shaped bowls 155mm long, and the cake server 245mm long.
