This strand of antique amber is in very good condition.
The beads are of antique solid natural amber in a range of colours from yellow to rich butterscotch. The beads have swirls and stripes within them and are very attractive. There is chipping to the ends of some of the beads around the holes and some crazing.
The strands look to be on a thick twist natural thread which is a little frayed at the knots. Each bead is double knotted between each bead. There is no clasp as the strand is continuous.
The necklace is around 920mm long and the largest bead is around 26mm x 20mm and the smallest beads are around 8mm x 5mm. Please note this is an approximate mm reading and may vary by a mm or so.
The beads weighs 65.8 gms.
