This beautiful setting is in generally in lovely condition. The vintage cutlery set features one of Rodd's most popular designs called Camille which was produced in Australia during the 1950's and 1960's. It features an embossed floral patterning to the handles. Each piece is marked Rodd EPNS and Camille to the back indicating this is an older set dating from the late 1950's to mid 1960's. The knives have modern blades and pronounced ferrules at the base of the blades.
The pieces are silver plated with stainless steel knife blades and present with only fine and light scratches from storage and/or use. There is some light wear to the back of the dinner fork tines as shown. This occurs to the back of the left hand tines only. Two dinner knives have a grey marks to the end of the blades as shown. All the dinner knives have fine dark spotting to the blades as shown in detail and some of the entree knives have a few similar spots. One dessert spoon has a mark to the back, also shown.
Apart from this there is no silver loss, damage or wear to any of the other pieces. The plating has a reflective mirror finish as can be seen.
The vintage set comprises 6 hollow handled dinner knives. 6 hollow handled entree knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks, 6 dessert spoons, 6 soup spoons, 6 fish forks, 6 fish knives, 6 teaspoons, 6 coffee spoons, 6 cake forks, 6 sweets spoons and 6 sweets forks. There is also a table spoon, a pair of salad servers, a cream ladle, a jam spoons, sugar spoon and butter knife. There is a total of 85 pieces.
