This stylish vintage setting is in the pattern called Regent. It was produced by a few silverware workshops with these pieces mainly produced by Victoria Silverware, around 1950. The vintage Danish pattern has a fluted lengthwise design with scallops to the finials and at the neck.
We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.
The set comprises 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks, 6 dessert spoons and 6 teaspoons. There are 24 pieces.
Although used the pieces present really well with only fine usage marks and scratches. There are some dark spots to the sides of the forks as shown. These appear to be something that occurs in the plating process as we see it on many Danish forks where the plating appears to have been missed.
There are fine scratches from use and very little wear. Even the back of the fork tines show very little wear to the plating.
This is a beautiful Danish setting and would grace any table with elegance and style.
