This lovely set of 51 pieces is marked with the Danish maker's mark for A. Prip, Denmark. All are also marked with the Danish twin tower mark for silver plate used from 1890-1927.
The set is in the Danish design called Lilymore and features pretty stylised lily motif to the mid section of the handles. The finials are squared off with horizontal banding to the end.
The set is for 10 people and comes without dinner knives. We have several sets of dinner knives please ask if there is nothing of interest you see on our site. As well as the individual place pieces there is a gravy or sauce ladle.
The set has light scratches and scuffs from use. There is spot loss of plating to the sides of the handles as shown.
This is something we see from time to time and have surmised it is something to do with the plating process where the silver applied is thin to this part. The loss does not extend to the fronts or backs.
The only other marks of any note are scratches to the inside of the gravy ladle as shown
There are 10 dinner forks and 10 dinner spoons all 195mm long. 10 entree forks are 165mm long, 10 dessert spoons are 185mm long and the 10 teaspoons are 120mm long.
