This elegant set of 4 white Plisse mugs was produced by Pillivuyt in France and features their standard white porcelain.
The porcelain is high fired with the glaze incorporated within the ceramic giving a hard wearing finish resistant to chipping, cracking, scratching and crazing. All Pillivuyt products can be safely used in the oven, freezer, dishwasher and microwave and are thermal shock resistant meaning they can be moved straight from the freezer to a hot oven. We find them easy to clean too and food just does not stick to the surface like other ceramics.
The design is called Plisse which refers to the pleated vertical pattern.
The mugs are all marked to the underside of the base with the Pillivuyt mark.
The mugs are 100mm tall and hold around 260mls.
All present as new.
