This stunning pair of lamps were designed by Sidse Werner as part of the 'Akpoteker' (Apothecary) range for Holmegaard Glassworks. This particular size is called Mini. It is the second smallest in the range.
The white 'opal glass' lights have become somewhat of a design icon in Denmark, and these lights are highly sought after. To find a pair is a rarity.
Both lamps have their original stickers to the base and one of these is a Royal Copenhagen sticker (Holmegaard glass was branded Royal Copenhagen Crystal in the 90's for a short while).
The original fittings are compliant and remain in place, the wiring has been re-done and new Australian plugs fitted. The pieces have been tested and safety tagged by an electrician.
The lamps have new Danish pleated shades from white opaque PVC. The shades clip onto the bulbs.
The lamps stand 21cm to the base of the light fitting and 10cm in diameter at the base. The complete piece with shade stands 38cm high. These would make great bedsides.
