This elegant Retro Cake Knife is in very good condition.
The Mid Century Design is called Columbine and features an asymmetrical curved handle. The knife was produced by ABSA and dates to the 1950's. The pattern has been reproduced by Fredericia Silver. This piece is marked ABSA and has the Danish quality torch mark for silver plate used post 1932. The blade is stamped for Finnish blade maker Hackman, famous for their stainless steel.
The knife is in extremely good condition with only very fine scratches from either use or storage. The blade has a serrated edge to one side and a curved tip.
The knife is long, measuring 275mm in length. The knife comes in its original box which is also in very good condition. This piece would make an impressive wedding cake knife.
