This stylish vintage setting is in the pattern called Regent. It was produced by a few silverware workshops with these pieces mainly produced by Victoria Silverware, around 1950. The vintage Danish pattern has a fluted lengthwise design with scallops to the finials and at the neck.
We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.
The set comprises a 12 place setting with 66 pieces including the hard to find matching knives. There are 12 smooth bladed hollow handled dinner knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 large Continental soup spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 12 teaspoons, a gravy or sauce ladle, 2 serving spoons, a cake server, crown seal bottle opener and a pastry server. There are 66 pieces.
Although used the pieces present really well with only fine usage marks and scratches.
There are fine scratches from use but no silver plate loss or wear through to the plating. One of the serving spoons has s few more light scratches than the other pieces and is shown.
This is a beautiful Danish setting and would grace any table with elegance and style.
