This beautiful Deco style lamp dates to c. 1930.

It has a beautiful combination of colours, with the main body of that lamp being an off white with grey crackle. The design features gold, burnt orange, brown and black on a slightly off white (a tinge of grey) background.

Produced by Danish Porcelain Manufacturer Dahl Jensen, it features their trademark 'Craquele' glaze; a crackle effect that took Dahl many years to perfect and was based on ancient Chinese porcelain techniques.

In addition it is signed Arth Boesen who was the decorator.

The beautiful geometric freeze that is painted around the base is done with painstaking care and attention to detail. There is virtually no wear to the design including the gold highlights. There are a few very small scuff marks to the burnt orange base which are photographed in close up.

The lamp has been rewired with a new white cord. The original Danish Bakelite fitting is still present and in good condition. The fitting takes an E 27 bulb.

The shade is a new genuine Danish pleated PVC pleated shade and comes with Danish halo lamp stand.

The ceramic base has no chips or cracks and is in excellent condition.

The lamp meets Australian standards and has been safety tagged by an electrician.

The lamp stands 23cm tall to the top of the ceramic section and and is 15cm in diameter at the widest point of the base. The total height including the shade is 48cm.
