This beautiful and classic set was designed for Onieda and is in the pattern called Virginian.
The setting was purchased new in the USA in the late 1950's by my aunt when she and her husband spent 3 years working and teaching at Universities across the country.
My cousins have memories of the good cutlery being brought out at Christmas and other special occasions. My Aunt has since passed away and it is time to move it on.
This setting is an 8 person setting. It comprises 8 dinner knives 230mm, 8 dinner forks 182mm, 8 salad or dessert forks 162mm, 8 soup spoons 157mm, 8 dessert spoons 153mm, and unfortunately only 7 teaspoons 152mm.
In addition there are a large serving spoon 217mm and fork, 207mm. There is a butter knife as well. There are 50 pieces.
One knife blade has a dark spot to the base of the blade as shown. The silver has fine scratches from gentle use.
The set weighs 2070gms. The set without the knives weighs 1500gms.
