This stylish vintage setting is in the pattern called Regent. It was produced by a few silverware workshops with these pieces mainly produced by Victoria Silverware, around 1950. The vintage Danish pattern has a fluted lengthwise design with scallops to the finials and at the neck.
We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.
The set comprises 8 dinner forks, 8 large Continental soup spoons, 8 dessert spoons, 8 teaspoons and a jam spoon.
Although used the pieces present really well with only fine usage marks and scratches. One spoon has a raised lump to the top of the handle as shown. This is not a bubble in the plating but a lump produced in the manufacturing process.
There are fine scratches from use but no silver plate loss or wear through to the plating. Even the back of the fork tines show no wear to the plating.
This is a beautiful Danish setting and would grace any table with elegance and style.
