This beautiful piece of English jewellery is in lovely condition.
The bangle is well hallmarked for sterling silver, London and a date letter for 1973. The makers mark is SJB in a shield surround.
The piece features a large and impressive highly polished cabochon of red tigers eye in a sterling silver sprung band. To open the piece it is simply squeezed to release the locking tab. To close the bangle it is squeezed again and the locking tab located within its slot and the pressure gently released to secure the band.
The band has a few minor scuffs from use and present beautifully. The stone is unusual and shimmers golden russet and is quite different from the yellow brown tigers eye.
The back of the band is 6mm wide. The cabochon is 22mm x 30mm. The bangle has an internal measure of 160mm.
