This beautiful hinged bangle is well made and substantial in weight.

The piece is stamped RIC in script, Taxco, 925 and Sterling and also bears the Mexican eagle mark with the number 3 to the tongue of the clasp.

The maker's mark of RIC is for Erika Hult De Corral. She worked with both Sigi Pineda and Enrique Ledesma in Taxco before opening her own studio.

Her early pieces were marked for Taxco as this one is.

The bangle is hinged making it easy to put on and it secures with a push in box clasp. There is the added bonus of a side over locking keeper.

There is a cabochon of dark green stone which most likely a type of Jade. The cabochon is polished but still bears the natural surface of the stone appearing as whitish marks to the surface.

The bangle is 55mm deep and measures 163mm (6 inches)  around the inside. The side bands are 10mm wide. The bangle weighs 62gms.
