This beautiful set was designed in Germany and produced for both Mitterteich and Zehender & Co Tirschenreuth, Bavaria. Both marks are shown and date from 1940. The style and design suggest 1960-1970 to us.
The pattern pattern features a crisp white background and a delightful black and red tartan border. Both companies produced this pattern with vary slight, almost imperceptible differences between the two.
There is no damage to this set. There is no wear to the glaze. All pieces are factory firsts. There are light usage marks only.
There are 8 dinner plates, 240mm across, 8 side plates, 195mm across, 8 large soup or dessert bowls, 220mm across and a gravy or sauce boat.
