This lovely vase was designed by Per Lutken in 1954 for Holmegaard / Kastrup Glassworks, Denmark. It was hand blown by artist Harold Hansen. It belongs to a series by Per Lutkin that was produced at Kastrup and is seen in Holmegaard's 1960 Catalogue. There is a series of bowls from the same series. It can also be seen in the hand drawings of Per Lutkin himself in the Book Glass is LifeThe book is a catalogue of exhibitions and unique pieces showing hand drawn diagrams. The vase is No 901 and is described as having violet spirals, it would have been made in various sizes.

The vase has fine maroon or deep violet coloured stripes within the clear glass that highlight the form and movement of the piece. The top has the unique duckling edge designed by Per Lutken.

There are no chips or cracks to the vase. There are included bubbles and some fine scratches to the side surface which we have shown in close up.

The vase is 240mm tall.
