This lovely piece was made by Australian company Casecraft. The company was taken over by Containers Ltd in 1957 so this piece would predate this date.
The box is made from Bakelite and is in really good condition with a padded satin lined lid and velvet insert to pin brooches. The top has a pretty quilted design and the plinth is stepped.
There are a few pin marks to the velvet and a tiny faint spot to the satin as can be seen.
There is no damage to the Bakelite, no chips, cracks, discoloration or crazing. It is overall in very fine condition. The hinge is firm.
The box is 90mm x 90mm and stands 30mm tall.
